Today (which was yesterday) my brother decided to end the suffering of using Celcom Broadband because of its ultimate poor internet connection, and went to Digital Mall @ Sec 14 to subscribe for P1′s Wimax, the Wiggy standard plan. The story began like this…

It started 3 days ago, where he had no access to the internet using the Celcom Broadband. There was no response when dialing to the network. Only the “connecting” status kept appearing each time when dialing. Called them and they said they were having some kind of problems. Well, not that this just recently happened. Before this we also began to felt that the network was getting more slower each time. In the beginning we could easily get the “HSDPA” status each time when using the internet and the connection was also pretty good. But after some time, only “3G” status was available and the connection status was getting even worse. Kept having errors when opening a page and have to refresh all the time.

And it all came down to 3 days ago…when the connection to internet was absolutely impossible. And so we thought, why should we pay a fixed payment of RM68 if we’re unable to connect to the internet at all? Might as well just stop using it of course! :?

And now, after using P1 Wiggy for the first time, what I can say is the speed was just the same as using Streamyx’s 1MB plan. Pretty good for a wireless broadband connection. And just look at the bandwidth speed test results from speedtest.net. Have to see it to believe it

And all my brother have to pay at first registration was just RM100, continued with the sum of RM14+ billed each month. Well, a bit expensive to me on the monthly billing…but my brother felt the opposite. So my thoughts automatically does not count…coz it’s his money
