Inspired by an entry of a fellow blogger. But not for me though.
However this thought also sometimes appeared on my mind ever since I bought my own domain name and space. Why do I blog? Do I need to stop subscribing? Or more specifically, blogging?. And then I remembered my journey on experiencing the Internet super highway itself…So please, read at your own risk…
At the very beginning I was always intrigued on creating one (a homepage) back when I was still in college. Back then it was for the assignment regarding Internet studies, we were required to create our own personal homepage for starters. I remembered using Microsoft Frontpage at that time. I was so excited that I felt like I was in the basic process in learning the Microsoft Office, Word or more specifically learning to use the computer itself. And it was then that I registered at Tripod.com which was pretty famous for free hosting at that time for my assignment. (it was azmie2000.tripod.com, sure brings back memories…but I’m afraid the account was long terminated already).
But it was not the only purpose though, I created the homepage with the hope that I will be able meet my long lost friends back when I was in secondary school. Yeah after finished SPM I completely lost contact on all of them. And I hope that maybe at least one of them will be able to recognize me if they surf the net. But it was a little bit in vain.
So after that the feeling was like floating on the water, one time it was on the surface and the other time being submerged. After two or three years near my graduation period then only that I discovered the opportunity of having own domain name and space (back then it was promotion by Mercumaya). And once again the feeling resurfaced. And it was the same time I was exposed to the world of blogging. It’s like a Malay phrase, “Serampang 2 Mata“. A strategy, instead of having the possibility on reuniting with my school friends again, I also have the chance to meet, know and make friends with other bloggers like me. It was kind of fun and exciting, and thus I bought one (but it was not azmie.net at first, just some stupid name that I mistakenly chose and then quickly changed to azmie.net
).
And it worked actually, I got to meet many exciting people, making friends and even have the chance to meet some of them face to face. And the effort to reunite with old school friends also finally proved to be fruitful when eventually I was able to gain contact with them one by one, even though some were in indirectly manner, (the era where friendster and myspace began) which was more than enough for me. This feeling alone is enough to make me kept on going (to continue on blogging, at least that’s the reason).
So…bored you to death? That’s ur problem! Hehe…Stop blogging? NEVER!!!
ps: Remembered my very first entry. The title…Need to keep maintained like this always

I have a feeling that I’ve blogged about this sometime before…or do I? hmmm
