internet service degradation

We wish to inform our customers that the Internet service is currently experiencing a degradation in performance caused by several outages at some of the international links. This is attributed to the Richter 7.1 magnitude earthquake that struck off the southern coast of Taiwan at 12.07 a.m. on 27th December 2006, which caused the APCN2 (Asia Pacific Cable Network 2) submarine cable fault between Shantou, China and Tanshui, Taiwan and between Lantau, Hong Kong and Chongming, China.

This has caused outages at several TM Net international transit and peering links, mainly to the said countries. As a result, Internet users in Malaysia and other parts of Asia may be experiencing some delay when assessing content and websites hosted outside of Malaysia, especially in U.S., Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea and Europe. TM Net has taken immediate action to divert traffic through other back-up links to reduce the traffic congestion.

The international providers are carrying out immediate restoration works to rectify the problem. We will be making further announcements when the service has resumed.

TM Net Sdn Bhd apologizes for any inconvenience caused whilst at the same time, we would like to assure you that we are doing all that is necessary in order to restore the service as soon as possible.

Customers can call TM Net Customer Interaction Centre at 1-300-88-9515 (24 hours) or 1-300-88-1515 from 8:00 a.m. till midnight or e-mail us at custcare@tm.net.my for further enquiries about this matter.

Yeah rite…call the Customer Interaction Centre? It took several minutes (sometimes even more than that) just to get a person to answer your call. But I guess it’s ok though because this happened due to natural causes. And hey, its not like there’s no internet connection at all, just a little bit slower than usual. :-B

We get it on most every night
When that moon is big and bright
Its a supernatural delight
Everybody’s dancing in the moonlight

Everybody here is out of sight
They dont bark and they dont bite
They keep things loose they keep it tight
Everybody’s dancing in the moonlight

Dancing in the moonlight
Everybody’s feeling warm and bright
Its such a fine and natural sight
Everybody’s dancing in the moonlight

We like our fun and we never fight
You cant dance and stay uptight
Its a supernatural delight
Everybody was dancing in the moonlight

Dancing in the moonlight
Everybody’s feeling warm and bright
Its such a fine and natural sight
Everybody’s dancing in the moonlight

We get it on most every night
And when that moon is big and bright
Its a supernatural delight
Everybody’s dancing in the moonlight

Dancing in the moonlight
Everybody’s feeling warm and bright
Its such a fine and natural sight
Everybody’s dancing in the moonlight

Takper aku terima pandangan korang, tarak hal. Lagipun aku buat camni pun bukan pasal ada orang desak aku soh buang splash page tu, pasal aku terasa nak buat perubahan, ditambah lak dengan pendapat sorang member aku nih, yang diutarakan dalam perbualan chat kami baru-baru ni. Mungkin aku akan cuba mengikut pendapat dia tu, in due time.

Sekian terima kasihan. :-D

iswara, oh iswara, where art thou iswara?

somewhere about one week before 25th November 2006:

- Planned to buy a new car, a Proton Saga/Iswara/Kereta Kebal Aeroback 1.3 Manual Transmission. Called a friend who is also a Proton’s salesman to make the necessary arrangements.
- Submitted the required documents for the loan application.

28th November 2006:

- An AMbank officer called regarding the loan application. Asking couple of questions.

30th November 2006:

- Received a called from the salesman aka friend that the loan from AMbank has been approved. Proceed to sign a couple of documents regarding the loan matter.

Somewhere around the early week of December 2006:

- Received a call from an officer from CIMB bank, also regarding the vehicle loan. Answered several questions, but later decided to disregard it because the loan approval from AMbank earlier.

From there, still waiting for the darn car until now, 17th December 2006. The reason, “something wrong with Proton’s payment system,” replied the salesman. They had some problems receiving payment from the bank, because of a new system implementation and thus the commencing of the old system’s migration to the new system, which then created some problems, resulting the delay of the K1 letter release (which is crucial for the release of the vehicle for registration at the JPJ – according to the salesman).

Additional Info: 11th December 2006 – while in the waiting process…

Received the hire-purchase agreement from AmBank, stated to pay an installment amount of RM418, starting on 30th December 2006, what the heck??? (Bayang kete pon tak nampak, da nak start kene bayo lak?)

Why…? why this happens to me? why must they implement a new system exactly on the time when I want to buy a new car? and why must they still proceed to use the new system even though they already aware of the problems created by it? why don’t use manual method? Customers must always be given a top priority, darn it!!! :-W
